Pricing
With over 33 years of experience and extensive studies of the market of re-sale values,
the owners of Four Sales pride themselves with setting the correct fair market pricing of all household
items in an estate. Whether it's a rare antique painting, fine porcelain, 18th century
furniture items, a mundane of utilitarian kitchen items, or workshop tools, the correct fair market
value will be tagged on all contents in the preparation of an estate sale. Items marketed for
sale will have asking price valuations approved by a representative of the estate.
Appraisal Service
The owners of Four Sales, Ltd., Nancy Meigs and Karen Waterval, Associate Members of the
International Society of Appraisers, can provide a formal fair market value appraisal of
all household contents when required by an estate. This service is provided at an hourly
financial remuneration and is done in conjunction with an anticipated estate sale that will
be presented by Four Sales, Ltd.
Advertising
Four Sales Ltd. will advertise an estate sale in five different ways:
- Extensive presentation at the Four Sales Ltd website.
- Circulated written advertisement with detailed inventory to be distributed to all customers the week preceding the anticipated estate sale date.
- Productive Washington Post ad or ads in trade papers in the estate sales section of the classified ads which run three or four days depending on the duration of the sale.
- Telephone service advising location, time, date of anticipated estate sale.
- Posting of our distinctive brilliant yellow and royal blue "sale" road signs from key main road sites leading to the location of the estate sales. Maps are not needed once a customer sees these distinctive guides.
