Plan an Estate Sale for the Spring

It may be cold outside now, but many people are planning estate sales for the near future. Even when the weather takes a turn for the worse, there are always shoppers on the lookout for a great deal.

If the cold weather has you rethinking the idea of planning an estate sale this month, there is nothing wrong with holding off until the spring time rolls around. Here are three benefits of doing so:

1. Warmer weather may bring more buyers. This is not always true, but some people simply don’t want to go out in the cold. Once the weather breaks, however, they will be itching to spend some time outside the home. What better way to do so than an estate sale?

2. Easier to declutter every nook and cranny. Let’s face it: when the weather is cold you won’t want to spend much time in your garage, attic, and/or storage shed. As a result, you may not pull out everything you want to sell. Subsequently, you are missing the opportunity to make more money.

3. Gives you time to plan the finer details. From deciding what to sell and what to keep, to choosing an estate sale company, there are many details to take into consideration. If you give yourself a couple months of planning, you will be ready to hit the ground running when the spring months arrive.

What do you think? Are you going to start planning now for a springtime estate sale?
