These Toys from Your Childhood are Worth a Bundle

Do you remember how much fun you had with all those toys from your childhood? Do you have any clue where those toys are right now?

Not all toys are worth a bundle, but many of them have increased in value over the years.

Here are some toys from your childhood that could be worth thousands of dollars:

·      Barbie dolls: Did you know that the original Barbie from 1959 is worth tens of thousands of dollars in mint condition? In fact, this model has sold for more than $25,000 at auction on multiple occasions.

·      Hot Wheels: Most Hot Wheels cars hold no value, but this isn’t the case across the board. There are some rare models, such as the Volkswagen Beach Bomb from 1969, that was sold to a collector for more than $100,000. Imagine that!

·      Disney VHS tapes: You may not consider these tapes a traditional toy, but that doesn’t change the fact that some are extremely valuable. For example, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast (Black Diamond version) have all sold for $1,000 or more.

When was the last time you searched your attic or basement for toys from the past? If it has been a while, you may be surprised at what you find.

Also, if you’re looking to expand your toy collection, spend some time at local estate sales and flea markets. You never know when you’ll come across a diamond in the rough!
