As you browse, pay attention to:

• Design: Ornaments shaped like animals, food or everyday objects may attract more interest than standard balls.

Those clues can help you identify a find, but they’re worth checking together. An ornament isn’t necessarily old because it looks old, and a worn box may not be original to the piece inside.
