How to Stay Cool at an Estate Sale

With temperatures bordering on record highs, many people are spending a good amount of time outdoors.

If you find yourself visiting one estate sale after the next, you know that the heat can become unbearable at some points. Fortunately, there are a few steps you can take to stay cool, even as you search for that next hot deal!

1. Dress the part. If you dress in cool clothes, you are much more likely to make it through your day in a comfortable manner. Now’s not the time to wear blue jeans and a sweater. You can save that for estate sales during the fall and winter months.

2. Take some water along. Even though you aren’t partaking in physical activity, you can still become quickly dehydrated. By drinking water on a regular basis, you can stay hydrated and keep cool. And of course, there’s nothing wrong with sharing with the estate sale staff.

3. Take a break if necessary. Nobody wants to take a break when there is so much fun lying ahead, but it’s often times essential to your well being. For example, sit in your car for a few minutes, with the air conditioner blasting, as a means of cooling down.

These are just a few of the many things you can do this summer to stay cool while shopping estate sales.
