Although CDs are not nearly as popular as they once were, there are people who enjoy collecting these.
In our last blog post, we discussed how vinyl records are making a comeback. We also shared a list of the most valuable records of all time, such as The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan and The Beatles White Album.
Even if CDs never make a comeback, it shouldn’t stop you from collecting these. Here are seven CDs that are valued between $750 and $2,000 (when unopened and in mint condition):
· Radiohead – Special Sampler 2003
· Metallica – Mandatory Metallica
· Rolling Stones – Welcome To Japan Licks
· Bob Dylan – Mr. D’s Collection #3
· David Bowie – Special DJ Sampler
· Pink Floyd – Fate of Circle
· R.E.M. – The Wake-Up Bomb
There was a time when CDs were extremely hot. People were buying these to jam out both at home and in their car. And while many people still listen to CDs – in fact, most new cars are still manufactured with a CD player – digital options have more or less taken over.
If you want to do your part in keeping CDs alive, consider starting a collection. Sort through the CDs you already have, while also making a list of those that you’d love to purchase.
As you begin your search (estate sales are a good place to start), pay close attention to the most valuable CDs. These are the ones that will bring you the most enjoyment over the long run!
