How will I Transport Items from an Estate Sale?

Last week, we discussed the topic of when you can remove purchased items from an estate sale. In short, you have the option of doing so as soon as you make full payment.

This time around, we’re going to focus on another key detail: the physical act of transporting the items from the estate sale to your home.

First things first, you should come to the estate sale prepared. Even if you don’t think you’ll make a large purchase, you never know when something will catch your eye.

If you bring somebody with you, if you also have a large vehicle – such as a truck – you should be able to remove almost anything you could purchase.

In the event that you run into an issue, here are a few things to keep in mind:

·      Most estate sale companies are more than happy to help load purchases into your vehicle. However, remember this: they have limited lifting abilities. For this reason, the on-site staff may not be able to give you all the help you need. Note: there’s nothing wrong with giving a tip when you receive assistance.

·      The best estate sale companies have a list of qualified movers that you can contact on the spot for assistance. This comes in handy if you don’t have a large vehicle or simply need somebody to help load and unload the item(s) at your home.

When purchasing smaller items, such as kitchenware, you won’t need any help in regards to loading your vehicle. However, if you buy something that is much bigger, such as a piece of furniture, everything changes.

As long as you’re prepared to remove any items you purchase, regardless of size, you can move forward without a care in the world!
