What are the Most Valuable Barbie Dolls?

Even if you weren’t alive when the first Barbie doll reached the public in March of 1959, there’s a good chance you’re well aware of its standing as one of the most popular (and collectible) toys of all-time.

To date, Mattel, Inc. has sold more than one billion Barbie dolls worldwide, making it the most profitable line in the history of the company.

While most of these dolls aren’t worth much more than what they cost, a handful are known for being extremely valuable.

If you’re a Barbie enthusiast and/or toy collector, here are 10 dolls you’ll enjoy having in your collection:

•    Carol Spencer Holiday Barbie

•    Marie Antoinette Barbie

•    Aqua Queen of the Prom Barbie

•    Barbie by Lorraine Schwartz

•    Barbie In ‘Midnight Pink’

•    Pink Diamond Barbie

•    Original Barbie

•    40th Anniversary Barbie by De Beers

•    Barbie and the Diamond Castle

•    Barbie by Stefano Centuri

All of these dolls are valuable, with those in good condition selling for anywhere from $1k to $100k or more.

For example, the Carol Spencer Holiday Barbie regularly sells for $1k+. If you’re lucky enough to have an Original Barbie in good condition, you can likely fetch between $25k and $30k. And of course, Barbie and the Diamond Castle and Barbie by Stefano Centuri – which were one-time releases – have sold for well in excess of $100k.

You’re a big winner if you have any of these Barbie dolls in your collection!
