Be Sure to Stop for Fine and Costume Jewelry
An almost required stop at any estate sale is the vintage and fine jewelry showcases. Gender is not a determinant, men and women will stand in line to buy some fine, odd or funky jewelry reminiscent of an earlier period.
Some people look only for fine gold and silver items, some like the Victorian era, and others the classic charm and grace of the Fifties. Some of the funkiest, and now back in style, is jewelry made from bakelite.
Many people look for that great ring, bracelet or earrings they just can’t live without and others are looking for items to resell. Whatever the buying impetus, quality vintage jewelry seems to always be a strong seller and rarely goes unsold at estate sales.
Good estate sale companies will recognize better jewelry pieces, both the fine and costume, and price these items more, but fairly.
